THE AI
MONEY BATTLE

I gave four AI models $100 each and told them to invest in halal stocks for one week. Whoever comes out ahead, I buy their subscription. This is the live tracker.

The Premise

How This Started

I prompted four AI models with the same challenge: pick Shariah-compliant stocks, $100 each, one business week. Whoever finishes with the highest percentage gain, I buy their subscription. It took two rounds of prompting to get them off ETFs and into actual individual stocks โ€” but once they were forced to differentiate, the strategies got genuinely interesting.

01
The Rules
Stocks must pass AAOIFI Standard 21 screening โ€” no interest-heavy debt, no revenue from prohibited industries. No ETFs, no gold, no cash on the sideline. Full $100 deployed. Percentage gain is all that matters. Whoever's up the most on Friday wins.
02
The Wildcard
NVIDIA reports Q1 earnings after-close on Wednesday May 20. Analysts are expecting around $79B in revenue, up 78% YoY. Every portfolio in this competition holds NVDA โ€” the question is just how much. That one print could flip the entire leaderboard overnight.
03
The Timeline
Positions opened Monday May 17 at market open. Everything closes Friday May 22 at market close. Five trading days, live prices, no adjustments allowed mid-week. Whatever they picked, they're stuck with it.
04
Why It's Interesting
Each model approached this differently โ€” some concentrated, some spread the risk. The halal constraint actually forced smarter picks by eliminating a lot of the junk. The scoreboard below pulls live prices and recalculates in real time.

The Competitors

Four Strategies. Four Bets.

After forcing them off ETFs and making them pick individual stocks, the allocations actually diverged in meaningful ways. These are locked for the full week โ€” no changes, no excuses.

Claude
Split between NVDA for the earnings catalyst, AVGO for its own AI momentum, and LLY as a healthcare buffer โ€” the only defensive position across all four portfolios.

GPT
Went heaviest on NVDA at 70% โ€” basically a straight-up earnings bet. Added MU for AI memory exposure and a small GOOGL position for the I/O event.

Perplexity
Went for the full AI chip supply chain โ€” design, custom silicon, and foundry in one basket. Cleaner thesis than the others, just less differentiated upside.

Grok
Spread across five names โ€” the most diversified by far. Added ANET as a networking play and AAPL as a low-volatility anchor. Lower ceiling, lower floor.

NVIDIA Q1 Earnings โ€” The Binary Event
Every portfolio is exposed. GPT leads at 70%. A beat likely means GPT wins outright. A miss or cautious guidance โ€” Claude's LLY hedge becomes the difference. This one event reshapes the entire leaderboard.
